The Longhorn Beetle's Grand Parade: A Comedy of Antlers
Once upon a time, in the delightful world of Beetleopolis, there lived a rather peculiar Longhorn Beetle named Larry. Larry had the most magnificent antlers anyone had ever seen—so long, in fact, that they almost knocked over anything in sight. Friends often joked, 'Larry, your antlers should come with a warning sign: 'Caution: Beware of High Antler Velocity!''
Now, Larry was a beetle with dreams. His dream? To start the first annual Longhorn Beetle Parade, where beetles could flaunt their own antlers in all their glory. With a bounce in his step—and a clatter of antlers—he roamed the neighborhood shouting, 'Bug on, my friends! It’s time for a parade!'
The word spread like pollen in a breeze, and soon every beetle in the area was buzzing about it. Larry even designed his slogan - 'Let’s Get Antlered Up!' But one problem arose: Larry needed a float for the parade.
In classic Longhorn Beetle fashion, Larry decided that instead of a fancy float, they’d use actual longhorns. However, instead of safely secured, these horns were just lying about. Thus began the hilariously chaotic construction of the parade float, with Larry attempting to carry an entire horn on his own while honing his balancing skills like a potato on a spoon at a picnic.
As anticipated, the parade day arrived, and it could out-silly any circus. Larry was unable to hoist his horn properly, which ended up causing many a trunkache for the other beetles who had to duck and weave to avoid the swinging antlers.
Beetles wearing mismatched bows and party hats found themselves forming a conga line while trying to dodge Larry's grand antler display, leading to a fabulous shuffle across Grapevine Street. Little did they know that fancy antler wear would soon become a beetle trend. As if choreographed by Fate, they all bumped into an unsuspecting snail, who could only exclaim, 'Oh snail, not again!'
By the end of the day, Larry’s antler parade drew attention from the whole insect community, but not for the reasons he had hoped. The beetles were exhausted, some fell into a pint-sized puddle, and he accidentally created a new sport:Cocktail Horn Wrestling!
All in all, it turned out to be the most unforgettable day in the existence of beetles, and as Larry lay on the grass laughing at his own folly, he couldn’t help but say: 'You know, antlers may fall short, but a good laugh goes a long way!'
