The Buzzard's Botched Business Venture

Once upon a time in the windy heights of Featherstone Hill, there lived a Buzzard named Benny. Benny was no ordinary Buzzard; he had a heart full of ambition and a keen eye for business—a peculiar trait for a raptor, but then again, they do say that fortune favors the bold.

Benny decided to start a side hustle selling freshly caught snacks to fellow birds. With the slogan "Why Fly for Food? Just Buzz-it!", he launched 'Benny’s Buzzard Bites.' The idea was ingenious. Why bother with the labor of catching your own lunch when you could just swoop down and have gourmet meals delivered? He even imagined the slogan in a fancy font, complete with swooping graphics.

On the first day of business, Benny set off to survey the landscape, looking for potential customers. He quickly realized that there weren't many birds around who wanted to pay for food they could easily snatch up themselves. Undeterred, Benny devised a cunning plan.

"These birds are just too proud!" he thought. "I’ll mock up a menu and act like a five-star restaurant!" The next day, he took to the skies, a hand-painted sign dangling from his talons listing mouthwatering dishes: 'Mouse au Gratin', 'Squirrel Surprise', and 'Leftover Roadkill Ravioli.' Despite the appetizing allure, it turned out that most birds just couldn’t be persuaded. They squawked with laughter at his absurdity as they swooped down to grab their own grub.

Feeling dejected but not defeated, Benny sat atop a high branch, turning his beak toward the horizon, contemplating his next move. Suddenly, he spotted the perfect opportunity—an unsuspecting farmer laying out a chicken feed feast. It was an all-you-can-eat buffet for his feathered friends, and he could hardly resist!

As Benny dove towards the banquet, he lost his footing and crashed into the feeder, sending grains flying everywhere. Chickens squawked and flapped around wildly while Benny, looking rather messy with cornflakes stuck to his feathers, realized that maybe, just maybe, his delivery business needed a bit more... autonomy.

Covered in grain and slightly embarrassed, Benny decided to retire his business idea. He returned to his perch, realizing the best things in life weren’t the ones that involved haggling over prices but the pure joy of the chase. From that day forward, Benny flew free with the wind, shaking off the corn as he embraced his natural Buzzard instincts, humorously dubbed by the other birds as 'Benny the Grain Guy'—a much more fitting title for a Buzzard who tried to bite off more than he could chew.
